Morals Village Hot Pot in Mississauga

Usually I don’t give one star for a restaurant, but this one is really bad. High price for ayce hot pot, each person at lease $50 or more, and the food that I can choose from is very limited, plus, doesn’t taste good. When they first opened, it was okay, but now, I would say it’s bad and pricey. Never again:)

Their food is OK....if you manage to get served. I've been here multiple times, each time the time to get the broth and actual food takes 20 minutes, and portions are never correct. Meanwhile, I watch some other customers (I don't know if they are VIPs, regulars or something) and get their broth and meat while we have been SITTING there WAITING for 15+ minutes. I've been here 3 times only because each time I hope the service will be better, but I've given them enough of my money. Never again. Go to Little Sheep instead, where they actually give portions you order and have great service.

Loved my experience here. Lots of choices for the flavour of the broth and what you can cook in the pot. While I have only tried one flavour broth, it was fantastic. The only downside is that theres a limit of 2 hours per table.

This was our first experience and it will be the last. We went for the AYCE option, so on top of the price you also have to pay for the hot pot! You ask for soup base and head to the cold section where all the meats, seafood, and veggies are kept in fridges. Most of the items are labeled, but some are in Chinese with no English translation. The quality of the selections are standard. Carefully, inspect what you take as some of the meats were slimy! One of my friends actually got food poisoning from this place. Service is almost non-existent. You have flag someone down to just get something. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant until they improve their service and food.

Great food. Really flavorful soups. Menu selection seems to be smaller than other hot pot restaurants.

Really bad service. Food never came out as ordered. And one of the waiter shamelessly asked for tip by saying that the amount of money stated doesn’t include gratitude fee (bcs i paid cash)

Just don’t go! $11.99 spicy soup base with nothing in it. Are you kidding me? Average cost is like $48 per person. Do you guys see how many 1 star they have?

Great atmosphere for hot pot with friends. Great service! It can get a little pricey (we paid approx. $43 each for ind. Pots and a drink) I would definitely go back again.

The broth was really flavorful. The food came quickly.

First time at hot pot and the experience qas fantastic.

The WORST experience EVER! 6 people share 1 portion of food! What a shxt ALL YOU CAN EAT place! If the owner really is that cheap to serve the correct portion of food, please close down! I spent more than $40 drinking water and waiting, bagging for food to come, again and again! To the owner: customers can lose patience, if you don't do some change, you will eventually lose all! If you don't care, please close down this place and leave, Mississauga deserve a much better hot pot restaurant than you!

Very expensive, bad service and taste is not good

Great quality meat and great if you're looking for authentic Sichuan hot pot. Only upsetting things are that you have to order individual items with the waitress/waiter instead of filling out forms, and the price is a little more expensive than you would pay with Little Sheep.

We used to come here a lot. But it has recently changed and food quality declined dramatically. Price of soup base went up a lot and choice of food is now minimum. Tonight was the worst hotpot i have ever had...no joke....advertised as all you can eat but have to pay extra for a lot of items, even just very common items like lamb and beef slices. And what's worse is that the paid items are of bad meat quality!!! And items included in the all you can eat price are very bad quality and cheap ones...end up paying 50+ per person but it's as bad as a 20 dollar dinner....not worth it at all and bad taste. Will NEVER go back again!

Good hot pot what more can i say about this place. Its alittle pricer then other spots but its worth it and its all you can eat. What more do you want

This restuarant is one the most clean chinese restaurant I have been. Foods were fresh and delicious. The waiters were also kind :). But the price is expensive. I was with my friends(total 3). Basic price is around 27 because of weekend. It makes sense but there is extra for broth(almost 11~15). It was hard to understand. And lamb meat is also extra. Although I was satisfied with food and service, but I don't wanna recommend this restaurant because of expensive price.

I wanted to give this place good rating when I first walked in. It is one of the cleanest chinese restaurant I've been. However, the price was ridiculous. Yes, it was the weekend so I didn't mind paying 27.99 per person for AYCE hotpot. BUT! They make you PAY EXTRA for BROTH!! (Between $5~13 on top of what you pay) This is a hotpot place, so why isn't broth included in the price??? It is my first time where I had to pay extra for broth in a HOTPOT RESTAURANT. Is this some new trend that I haven't been aware of?? (Please, anyone comment if this is a norm now and I do not know about) They should really say it starts 33 dollars and up.The only reason I'm giving this place 3 star is, because at least the ingredients were fresh and overall taste is pretty good. Value is just not good.

Great ramen (noodle) soup. Tasty.

Disappointed. We went yesterday and it changed style and less choice. Beef and lamb not all you can eat anymore. Soup base price increased a lot. No more beef tongue. The price for this quality too expensive. Not worth.

Good service. Good variety of soups and foods but they're always out of Tom yum. Ice cream cone for dessert.

The service was terrible, the food was bad, and the prices are really high. Also, half the items listed on the menu were not available anymore.

For those low taste food on the shelf and extra payment of the sheep meet and so on. I would have not come to this store for the food. Not recommend to anyone who likes hotpot, 2 people charging for over $100 without any lamb, sheep ,etc. we can eat much better in the other store with this price. And I would definitely not stay there for more than 2 hours, which the waitress particularly asking me, “have you finished eating yet? ?? “ We have the 2- hour limitations. ‘’ To be honest, I have never been eating in a restaurant for over 2 hours, let alone in this low taste but overpriced store. We will try to avoid this place in the future.

The food tasted fine but the worst part was that there turned out to be a cricket or grasshopper bug inside the pot soup. The manager said that they will make certain the staff wash the vegetables ‘properly’ but something tells me they are going to go through a process to do so. The manager ended up voiding the bill after a very unpleasant experience.The service was also slow and unreliable - sometimes it would take ordering the same items three to four times just to get them to come out with your dishes, if they will at all.

Decent food, service and speed... Was too bad their ice cream machine was broken though...

The quality of the food is mediocre. The service was HORRIBLE. The employees didn't check up on us. A lot of the things we ordered weren't delivered. Ice cream was FREE. We told them we'll get some after the meal and they said they turned the machine off...15% tip for a trash service isn't worth it.

Horrible horrible horrible service!!! I took my mom and my sister out for Mother’s Day and out of all the employees ONLY one was smiling.. everyone else looked like they hated their job! Of course I didn’t tip and I usually don’t do reviews because I forget but this service was horrible. I’m also going to call them to let them know it was horrible! The food was alright, I’ve been to other hot pot restaurants, and the food, service and atmosphere was better, unfortunately they were busy yesterday :(

Atmosphere looks nice, but it's too quiet. Food quality is good, but limited options when compared to little sheep mongolian hotpot. This place has a lot of broth options, which I like. Expect to leave with a $45.00 bill for dinner and a drink, per person. Tip is included, you don't have an option.

It used to be a great place. However the food quality went way way down after they made the change to "skewers" hotpot.The selections is way less now, what you are getting is definitely not worth the price.

One of the best place to try Hot pot. The service is good, food is good. Definitely will visit soon.

Very bad experience. We arrived here around 11:15 today before it openec and the owner said they open at 11:30, and they need to set things up so we had to wait in the waiting area, which wasfine. Then a waitress came and said she would like to seat us and lead us to a table. My friends who didn’t hear my conversation with the owner followed the waitress and went inside. The owner just lost the temper and became impatient, sort of yelling at us saying they need to set up the tables first. I kindly explained the mis communication and asked him to figure things out with the waitress what they want. The funny part was after the owner talked with the waitress, she still tried to lead us to the table and the owner still wanted us to wait, and repeated what he said as if we were stupid. Completed ruined my long weekend and would never come back again.

Gave this place 5 stars a year ago. It was our favourite Hot Pot place for a good while.As of Nov 2019 they changed how they do hotpot. It's MORE expensive, has LESS selection and you are charged extra for the soup base (which is of course needed for a hotpot. What other alternatives would there be? Hot Water?)To get an idea of what it was like, you payed once per customer. Given a menu full of selections of soup flavours, meats, veggies, seafood, noodles, etc. You'd then tell the waiter what you'd like to have and they brought it. Simple.Now you're just basically paying to use their stove, have their soup (and any extras you order) and borrowing their pot while you do most of the work.A sad end to a great restaurant, going to have to find a new alternative.

They don't even serve half of what's offered on the menu (aka the good stuff like mussels and lamb ball). Highly dissatisfied, would not recommend.

Loved it! First time here, the waitress was very helpful in explaining and recommending options. I'm not sure why others are complaining about the service, we found it very attentive and didn't mind that they didn't rush us out. Go for the split pot and don't forget to grab some extra garlic and chili oil for your soup!

First experience with hot pot and it was great. The staff was very helpful and food was delicious.

Decent but I prefer the nearby little fat sheep hotpot

Finally got to try the place. Missed out on a Friday night because they do not seat people after 10pm even though they close at 12am. Their last call is at 10pm. Came back on a Sunday night, the place was full. There was a wait but it wasn't too long, about 5-10minutes. I like this restaurant franchise because they have a greater variety of soup bases and food available. But at this location the beef was not as soft as others, it was pretty dry. The beef cheese ball and the shrimp balls are still really good. The vegetables are really fresh. The service was really slow; the food was not as good as expected. They skipped a lot of the things we ordered and we had to order it multiple times before it came. As for the washroom, it was very messy and could have been better maintained. We prefer their other locations better because we had a better experience there. P.S. Cash only !

A huge drop in quality. I used to rlly like this place but it went from an 8/10 to a 1/10 real easy. I can make better hotpot at home in comparison to this 💁🏻‍♀️

Absolutely excellentThere is nothing has to say about this place. The quality of ingredients is superb. My first visit there reminded me of the hot pot we first fell in love with in Bejing! We will be back again and again!

They have totally changed their restaurant set up. Use to be hot pot, you’d order what you would like and they would serve it. Prices have since gone up and it has turned into buffet style with a lot of animal organs and some seafood

My go to spot for hotpot. Friendly staff selections are good and soup base are delicious. Also you can make your own sauce for dipping. My favourite part about hotpot.

This place used to be amazing. Now prices have increased and you have to pay so much more for soup broth. Also the best part about AYCE hot pot is the thinly sliced lamb,beef, and pork is now no longer part of the AYCE menu and is served $5/serving. Everything in this place dropped quality, from the soup broth, proteins and veggies. It’s the lowest quality cuts of meat that restaurants would normally throw out. There is no meat it’s all cartilage, lots of fat and skin. The veggie selection is just lettuce, winter melon and corn. I will never be returning for $30/person and extra depending on soup what a joke.

Truly the food was fine but the service was garbage!Me & my s/o went out for his birthday for a nice quiet dinner. We get there at 10 & they told us hot pot is not available... Okay no problem, we will go to their sister store "....? rice noodles". We went to sit down, everything is going okay nothing crazy... We placed an order for chicken wings but the waiter let us know that they don't have it at the moment (probably because fryers are off)... okay no problem. We got the food around 10:20 & by 10:30 we got an unexpected bill... Okay no problem, we kindly ask the waiter if we can get a bowl extra noodles because in their price they include "unlimited noodles". He immediately tells us that is not possible because they already drained the water!! It is only 10:30 .. your last call is at 10:30 .. Btw you can get more for your money elsewhere ... Noodle fan!!!We would love to come back because the food was good but the service really needs to change.

Good quality ingredients. Consistent with the Toronto Chinatown location.Though this time around they did have ice cream.

It was okay Not really a fan of hotpot, but overall it tasted good.
